Verified Agents Directory: Uganda
Updated 3 November 2026 · Land & Property editorial team
The directory lists agents whose National ID and live selfie we have checked. You filter by area, by what they sell (plots, farmland, forest trees, homes or rentals) and by badge, then see their listings count and contact them on WhatsApp. As of 3 November 2026 all 93 published listings are held by Land & Property itself, so agent profiles are only starting to appear.

How do I find a verified agent near me?
Open the agent directory and narrow it down in three steps:
- Pick an area. Choose the district or neighbourhood where you want to buy or rent, for example Wakiso, Kampala, Nakaseke or Luwero.
- Pick a listing type. Plots, farmland, forest trees, houses, apartments, commercial property or rentals. An agent who sells farmland in Luwero is not necessarily the right person for a flat in Kololo.
- Pick a badge. Choose agents with the Verified badge only, or ask for those who also hold the interview badge.
Each profile shows the agent's badge, the areas they cover, their listings count and a WhatsApp button. Message first, ask for the title details of the property you like and do not pay anything before you have met the agent and seen the property. Nymynet, a Ugandan property blog, gives the same advice: insist on meeting at the property before any financial commitment. Our guide on how to check if a property agent is genuine gives the full list of questions.
What do the badges mean?
Badges are narrow on purpose. Each one says one thing.
| Badge | What it means | Cost to the agent |
|---|---|---|
| Verified | National ID number (NIN) matched and live selfie taken | Free at launch |
| Title check shown on a listing | A registry search was done on that listing. Required for agent listings above a value threshold | Paid |
| Interview badge | We spoke to the agent that month, after the standard check | Paid, valid for the month |
| Featured | The listing was promoted for a fee | Paid |
None of these guarantees good title or a successful sale. For the detail, read how we verify agents. Every verified agent also agrees to the real estate agent code of conduct we publish.
What does the directory show today?
We want to be honest about the stage we are at. On 3 November 2026 our snapshot (Land & Property listings, Nov 2026) held 93 published listings. All 93 were listed by Land & Property itself. None had been posted by an agent yet. The directory therefore fills up as agents complete verification, and we do not show counts of agents or reviews that do not exist.
| Listing type | Published listings, 3 Nov 2026 |
|---|---|
| Farmland | 39 |
| Plots | 21 |
| Apartments | 19 |
| Houses | 14 |
| Forest trees | 0 (the type has just launched) |
By place, Wakiso had 29 listings and Kampala 23, with the rest mainly farmland in districts such as Nakaseke (8), Nakasongola (6), Luwero (5) and Hoima (4). If you are an agent working in these areas, there is room for your profile. If you want to learn how to join, read Become a Verified Property Agent in Uganda and ask about our Founding Agents.
How do forest and plantation agents appear in the directory?
Use the directory filter for forest trees to see agents who list standing pine, eucalyptus or mixed plantations. There are no forest listings yet in our snapshot, so this filter will be empty until the first agents post them.
Forest listings follow special rules, and an agent who lists one has to show:
- Acreage planted and the price per acre.
- Estimated number of trees and the price per tree.
- Tree age and species.
The wording is always the same: a forest listing sells the trees only. The land is not included. The harvesting deadline is negotiable with the seller. A buyer who wants the land must buy it separately. The agent-facing standard is in Listing Forests as an Agent: Data Buyers Need.
How do farmland agents appear, and what must they disclose?
Farmland agents appear under the farmland filter. In our November 2026 snapshot, all 39 farmland listings were priced per acre, so buyers should compare like with like and work out the total from the acreage. A listing should state the acreage, the price per acre, the tenure and who is on the land.
The last point is the one buyers overlook. If anyone lives on or farms the land, such as tenants, caretakers or kibanja holders, the listing must say so, because occupants can affect when you can use the land. Of the 93 published listings in our snapshot, 57 are mailo, 4 are freehold and 2 are leasehold, and 30 do not state a tenure. Ask any agent for the tenure in writing before you travel.
Can I see an agent's listings and report a problem?
Yes. Each profile links to the agent's active listings and the listings count shows how many they hold. Listings are checked for duplicates and reused photos, as described in How We Check Listings and Titles, and we query the same property advertised under several names.
If something looks wrong, use the report a suspicious listing or agent link on the listing or profile. A real report needs the listing link, what you saw and any payment details. If you are dealing with someone off-platform, read how to spot a fake property agent and, if money is already lost, Agent Took Your Money and Disappeared.
What is the difference between an agent and a real estate company?
An individual agent is a person with a profile. A real estate company is a registered business that may employ several agents. In our directory a team can show a firm profile, but each agent in it is verified separately. Read Real Estate Companies in Uganda: Types and How to Vet for how to check a firm, and how agencies register if you run one.
Agents sometimes work together on one sale. How that is shared is explained in Co-Broking and Commission Splits Between Agents.

Frequently asked questions
How do I find a verified agent near me?
Open the agent directory, choose your area, then the listing type you want, such as plots, farmland, forest trees or rentals, and then a badge. Each profile shows the agent's areas, listings count and a WhatsApp button. Always meet the agent and see the property before paying.
Can I see an agent's listings?
Yes. Each agent profile links to their active listings and shows a listings count. As of 3 November 2026 all 93 published listings were held by Land & Property itself, so agent-held listings will appear as agents complete verification and start posting.
Are all agents in the directory verified?
Agents in the directory have passed the standard National ID number and live selfie check. That proves identity only. It does not prove title or price. Some also hold an interview badge, and some listings carry a registry title check. Read the badge descriptions before you rely on them.
Do forest agents sell the land too?
No. A forest listing sells the trees only and the land is not included. The harvesting deadline is negotiable with the seller. Listings show acreage planted, price per acre, estimated number of trees, price per tree and tree age. A buyer who wants the land must buy it separately.
How do I report a suspicious agent?
Use the report link on the listing or agent profile, or the report a suspicious listing page. Include the listing link, screenshots and any payment receipts. If you have lost money, also report to the Police, because a platform cannot recover funds on its own.
