Corrections Log

Updated 3 November 2026 · Land & Property editorial team

This is the public log of factual corrections to Land & Property guides, with the date, the page and what changed. As of 3 November 2026 no corrections have been recorded, because the log starts on that date. Any change to a number, a legal statement, a name or a recommendation will be listed here. To report an error, contact our team.

What is in the corrections log today?

The log starts on 3 November 2026, the date our guides were first published in this form. At that date it holds no entries. We would rather show an empty log than fill it with invented examples, because the purpose of the log is to show real corrections.

No corrections recorded as of 3 November 2026----

When an entry is added, it will use these five columns, newest first, and the page named in the entry will carry a new "updated" date.

What counts as a correction?

We log any change that could affect a decision a reader makes. That means:

  • A price, rent, fee, rate or measurement that was wrong or out of date.
  • A legal or tax statement, including a wrong Act or section number.
  • A name, place, date or distance that was wrong.
  • A recommendation that we withdraw or reverse.
  • A figure from our own listing data that was calculated wrongly. How we calculate them is on Price Data Methodology.

We do not log spelling, punctuation or layout fixes, and we do not log routine refreshes where a source published a newer figure and we simply updated the page. Those updates change the "updated" date, and our Uganda Land and Property Market Brief (Monthly) shows the dated figures month by month.

How do I report an error?

Tell us three things: the page address, the sentence you think is wrong, and your source if you have one, such as an Act, a regulator's page or a document. You can ask our team on WhatsApp or by email. A source helps us check faster, but we will also look into a report without one.

If your concern is about a listing, an agent or how we handled a complaint, rather than a fact in a guide, use Complaints and Appeals instead. If you think a listing is a scam, use the report option for suspicious listings.

What happens after you report something?

  1. We read the report and find the claim on the page.
  2. We check it against the source ranking set out in our Editorial Policy: statutes first, then regulators, then professional research, then press, then our own data.
  3. If you are right, we correct the page, change the "updated" date and add a line to this log.
  4. If the page was right, we reply with the source that supports it. Where sources disagree, we add a note on the page saying so.

We do not delete an entry from the log once it is published. If an entry itself was wrong, we add a second entry that explains it.

Why publish a log at all?

A property guide is only useful if the numbers and rules in it are right. Land and property decisions involve large sums, and readers abroad often rely on a guide alone. A public log lets readers see how we treat mistakes. It also lets journalists, lawyers and researchers check whether a figure they saw earlier has since changed.

The log covers our guides and our own data. It does not cover the content of listings written by agents or sellers. Those listings are checked through agent verification, and the properties we list ourselves are shown on Properties Listed by Land & Property. For legal checks on a purchase, you should use independent property lawyers surveyors and not rely on a guide alone. If you are buying from abroad, start with our guide to buy property in Uganda from UK, and you can browse all listings at any time. The people behind the guides are described on Our Editorial Team.

Frequently asked questions

How do I report an error?

Send the page address, the sentence you think is wrong and a source if you have one, through our contact page. We check it against the source, correct the page if needed, add a dated entry to this log, or reply with the source that supports the page.

Do you correct mistakes?

Yes. Any change to a price, rate, legal statement, name or recommendation is corrected on the page and recorded here with the date, the page and what changed. Entries are never deleted. If an entry was itself wrong, we add a second entry.

Why is the log empty?

The log starts on 3 November 2026, the date the guides were first published in this form, and no corrections have been recorded since. We will not add example entries to make it look busy. Real corrections will appear here as they happen.

Does this log cover listings from agents?

No. It covers our guides and our own data. Listing content is written by sellers and agents. If a listing looks false or misleading, use the complaints process or the suspicious listing report, and we will review the listing and the agent.
